Jonah Ridgely

Homegrown: Berlin Raised. Worcester Proud.

Jonah Ridgely is from Berlin, Maryland. Drawing influence from jazz, blues, classic rock, R&B, grunge, and ’90s country, he crafts a unique sound and brings a genre-blending set list to every stage he plays. He lives by the belief that  music says what words can’t.

Jonah Ridgely found his passion for music early, playing songs by ear at age four and composing original pieces soon after. He studied piano from age six, added cello at ten, and discovered his true voice on electric guitar in seventh grade. Over the years, Jonah has learned to play a wide range of instruments (including bass, ukulele, tuba, guitar, piano, and cello) and now has the ability to pick up virtually any instrument and play it with ease.

In high school, Jonah immersed himself in music, taking every music class he could enroll in: marching band, concert band, orchestra, jazz band, and music theory. Outside of school, he was writing his own music, gigging locally with other musicians, working as a session guitarist, and practicing guitar for hours on end. He earned back-to-back honors as Maryland’s Senior All-State Jazz Guitarist. He also toured with indie artist Callum. Jonah gained recognition for his guitar work on stage alongside Callum and on her debut EP.

After graduating high school in 2024, Jonah began performing as a solo artist. During his first year at Berklee College of Music, he studied under Bob Stanton, honing his sound and sharpening his craft. He’s now focused on building his career as a guitarist and singer/songwriter, developing his platform, working on his debut EP, and performing regularly.

Music is the essence of my soul.” - Jonah Ridgely
